In season three of Netflix’s hit series, “YOU”, main characters Love Quinn and Joe Goldberg move to the wealthy suburban town of Madre Linda for their newborn son. Moving from Los Angeles, where they lived in the previous season and where Love worked at her family’s trendy health food store, the fashion and style seen in Madre Linda is much different. The town is primarily families with children, so most of Love Quinn’s mom-friends wear expensive, athleisure wear. But Love Quinn has a unique and fresh take on suburban mother fashion.
Throughout the third season, Love has elevated her style from the previous season, where she wore mostly trendy tank tops and flowy dresses. In this season, Love’s style is very refined yet full of personality. In many of her outfits throughout season three, Love incorporates jackets with collars. She wears jackets ranging from rich, burgundy silk coats, casual khaki blazers, and even fun denim jackets. The actress, Victoria Pedretti, who plays Love Quinn has a very fresh, unique style outside of the show, filled with oversized, colorful statement sweaters, bold plaid blazers, and even leather jackets paired with baseball hats. In many ways, the clothing pieces worn by Love in season three resemble some of Pedretti’s fashion choices in real life, which is interesting to see.
Although being a new mother, Love Quinn’s style sense in season three remains youthful and exciting. In several episodes of season three, Love wears sweater material shirts with dramatic stripe patterns. One of the striped tops she wears is slightly cropped with almost three-quarter length sleeves, incorporating a fun frill finish at the base of the shirt and sleeves. Another fashion choice we see lots from Love in season three is denim. Love wears a flowy denim blouse with a tied knot at the bottom, a deep blue denim jumpsuit, and a fun pair of jeans featuring a matching denim belt tied in a bow.
Aside from Love’s refreshing, youthful fashion choices making frequent appearances this season, she also wears some elegant, fancy statement outfits. In one episode, Love wears a white, one shoulder, cropped blouse for a dinner party, which she pairs with the jeans mentioned earlier. In another episode, she rocks a stunning mustard yellow, leather mini dress with a shiny, buckle belt. For perhaps her fanciest outfit of the season, Love wears a beautiful, black silk mini wrap dress to a women in business event at her mother’s winery. The wrap dress features loose arms with tight wrists, along with a deep v-neckline, with a gorgeous matching silk belt that ties in a bow and lands slightly off to the side. The bottom of the dress features a soft seam that isn’t perfectly straight across. Another stunning, more dressed-up outfit worn by Love is a long floral skirt with a dramatic slit on its side, paired with a sage green cropped blouse.
There is no doubt that Love Quinn’s evil side comes out in season three of “YOU”, but she sure looks amazing regardless. The killer and suburban mom displays her own take on Madre Linda fashion and stays true to her personal style, wearing sophisticated, yet exciting pieces.
