DWF kicks off the spring semester with its first photoshoot of the season. For this, we take it downtown to the back streets of the capital to follow two girls exploring in the Florida sunshine after a rainy week. Once the crew finds its way through the tunnels and alleys of the city, it’s showtime.

Despite the uncanny weather in the past week, the sky is astonishingly clear and there is a nice breeze to complement the warmth from the sun. The ladies wear solid, translucent raincoats over nude bodysuits paired with matching, beige bucket hats and black, buckled rainboots. The girls reflect power and elegance as they take each step (or leap!) together through the hidden gems of the city. We then move over to the suburbs to find a deserted white motel, weathered down perfectly over time to aesthetic perfection to continue shooting. Do you see that overcast in the distance? Not to worry...we brought an umbrella!

The ladies conclude by having a dance party on the steps of this structure, cause why not? As the day comes to an end, the clouds begin to fade and the sun shines on the dew left by the storm (or...the water bottle). With the sky now matching their raincoats, another successful DWF shoot is in the bag.
The team included the director of the shoot, Delaney Williams, giving us precipitation. The models with the drip Kiara King and Ja’quell Smith. Makeup brainstormed by Taylor Mair and Victoria Brumer. Camera crew shining through including Tara Wilson, John Harrington, Giovanni Musso, and Jeffrey Mallo. Kudos to the whole team for not misting a beat putting this shoot together! (Okay I’m done with the water puns).
